Practical and fun learning giving confidence in being a first aider
The Industry standard first aid course, which will not turn you into a medical encyclopaedia but will give you the strategies you need to manage an emergency situation.
This course is ideally suited to anyone who works or plays in an outdoor adventure setting. It is also a course which conforms to the requirements of Mountain Training, Canoe Wales, British Cave Association, Canoe England, Scouting UK, Girl Guiding and other outdoor governing bodies + teachers, youth workers the list goes on. Whether you work in an office or outdoor environment REC courses are for everyone.
Rescue Emergency Care ( REC ) pioneered this type of course, a course which is practical bias with some classroom sessions and allows for learning at an individual pace, leaves technical jargon to other providers and has no exam at the end. Being a two day course, it is designed to introduce a systematic method of first aid for managing casualties.
We focus on dealing with incidents from medical help, alongside urban accidents with the minimal equipment you would carry while participating in or leading outdoor activities. Again, the emphasis is on practical skills, with plenty of hands-on practice including lots of outdoor scenarios.
